Overview

VCNL3040 breakout board uses Vishay Proximity sensor VCNL3040 that is made for proximity sensing up to 300mm

breakout features

• utilizes new Vishay proximity sensor VCNL3040
• 3.3V and 5V tolerant (level-shifting and regulator on board)
• I2C pull-up resistors
• onboard regulator can be enabled/disabled with MCU
• interrupt indication LED
• 6 pin 1.0mm JST-SH connector - wire is not included
• small size - 15x21.8 mm

VCNL3040 features

• Working range up to 300mm
• Settable proximity sensors interrupt range
• Software adjustable LED current and duty cycle
• Software selectable 12-bit or 16-bit output value
• Intelligent cancellation to reduce cross talk

This sensor has one I2C address - it means you can only use one device per one I2C bus. In order to use multiple you have to switch them on and off or use extra hardware.
