This a board that allows you to interface a 20x4 character LCD such as one of these to your Planck computer

It uses a very simple circuit to allow the (fast) computer to drive the (slow) LCD display.

The driver is 6502 assembly code is provided as part of the default ROM for the Planck computer, but you can also see it here and adapt it as you see fit.

By default, all text will be output by the computer to the serial port and to this LCD board, but you can also disable this functionality in the ROM code, and only use the LCD to display specific data, such as sensor readings, progress report for long running tasks, etc...

This product DOES NOT include the LCD screen itself. You can get it from ebay. You do not need the i2c board that is sometimes included.

Integrated circuits are NOT included unless you choose the "include ICs" option.

You can also add the I/O board to get a fully functional standalone computer!
