Blackjack is a classic card game played by millions around the world, and now you can play on a handheld gaming system you solder yourself! This handheld version of face-up blackjack pits you against the dealer to see who can make it to 21 without busting!

In addition to being a fun game, this kit will help you to hone your soldering skills, learn to work with many different types of parts, and better understand how to program your own handheld games.

The kit includes all the parts you need to build the circuit, including a pre-programmed Atmega 328P. It is recommended to run the circuit off of a 9 volt battery, but any voltage source between 7 and 18 volts, up to 200mA, would work fine.

When no longer needed, the 328P at the heart of this project can be repurposed and reprogrammed like an Arduino.
