This PCB may look small, but it packs quite a punch! It can add about 25dB of gain to any dynamic or ribbon microphone. It requires +48V Phantom power on the line to function.

NOTE : The "without ground" diagram should be followed when modifying a microphone that doesn't have a transformer, and as such, doesn't have a ground wire. This is the case for the sE Electronics V7 and V7X, as well as quite a few other.

About the project

I decided to design and build this device since already available products for this kind of purpose (FetHead, CloudLifter, DM1s, etc.) usually cost quite a lot and are not available as standalone PCBs. As I wished to integrate their function directly inside of a microphone, I had two options: buy an expensive thing that I'd then have to disassemble... Or redesign available PCBs from some people online to fit that purpose. And by that point, I imagine you know which option I decided on.
