Can you believe that this tool does not exist? I could not find anything like it, so I designed it myself. One of my other products is the trigBoard, that uses two JST connectors for the battery and sensor inputs. When changing the battery or experimenting with the sensor input, it can be a little tricky to unplug the cable. Sometimes the mating plug has locking "nubs" that make this especially difficult. I'll even shave these off to make plugging/unplugging easier. But then of course the locking feature of that plug is degraded. The other day, I was working in the field and needed to swap a battery... took the risk and pulled the cable by the wires. This was when I decided to design this tool, because sure enough on that board I pulled the wires straight out of the plug and completely destroyed the cable (and battery).

Works with

• 2 pin, 2mm JST style (PH) plugs, but also works with other manufacturers
• Example, all trigBoard/trigSolar use this style of connector and most Adafruit Feather boards with battery input

Instructions

• Simply insert the board between the connector and the plug near the "key'ed" side
• Lift up slightly on the puller board, then down, in a rocking motion (does not take any effort)
• Cable should just pop right out - even the tightest locking plugs.
• If any issues, make sure you're working the tool near the key'ed side. Possible that the cable is from some third party manufacturer that doesn't have the same dimensions as a genuine JST plug. You can add a little tape to the inside part of the tool to get a higher fit around the plug if needed (I have not needed to do this with anything I have tried though)
