What is it?

ELLO 16P is a very simple, yet fully functional computer built around PIC24. It has video, sound, I/O storage capabilities, and even simple networking, and can be assembled relatively easily by any hobbyist.

It has sufficient memory and other capacities to even make it a small actually usable computer.

ELLO 16P was a featured Hackaday project in February 2016 when I released the first version of the board.

Why did you make it?

This is one of the earlier designs in the ELLO range and shares the same overall ideas with the rest of the ELLO computers - simple, easy to build, interesting hobby projects.

What makes it special?

ELLO 16P is built around PIC24 - an extremely rare hit among the homebrew systems. It also includes an expanded UEXT bus thus allowing use of many modules already available on the market.
