Read More…A connector for hooking up dev boards (Raspberry Pi, Orange Pi, etc) to LCD displays. It's a 180 degree connector so tucks the dev board neatly behind the screen.
This particular connector is the slimmest and lowest profile design possible, which helps to reduce the thickness of the assembly when size of the overall design is an issue. It's around 3.6mm less tall than the cheaply available common connector that's supplied with screen kits.
Here it is compared to the larger common connector:
4 Layer PCB design with ground fills for max shielding. The connector used is officially HDMI 1.4, so HDMI2.0 is untested but likely to work.
Lovingly hand soldered in the UK, microscope checked and Pi tested.
