The WS Basic is a compact controller for the Worldsemi WS2811 or WS2812 intelligent control LED. This listing includes one water-resistant WS Basic controller with a JST 3-pin connector and mating tail to attach to your WS2811/12 LED project. Package does not include USB cable or power supply as they are application-specific.

The WS Basic is sold in several forms; ready to use, kit, and fully integrated products. Measuring just 30mm x 12mm x 8mm the WS Basic offers more options than you might expect. The light engine uses color and intensity compression for a smoother display that consumes less power.

A simple yet powerful menu allows changing the pattern, color, speed and brightness.

• (M)ode Button: changes what setting is being adjusted.
• (C)hange Button: changes the current setting.

• Operation: Pressing either button will open the On-LED menu. The bright LED indicates which menu is active

The power supply should be capable of about 1 Amp for every 50 WS2811/12 LED’s in use. The vast majority of problems (discoloration, flickering, flashing) can be resolved by improving the power source.
