What is it?

This is a autoswitching power multiplexer based on the TPS2115A. This IC has the following features:

• 84mOhm RDSon
• Reverse and cross-conducting blocking
• Operating voltage range of 2.8V to 5.5V
• Adjustable current limit (set to around 1.25A)
• Thermal shutdown

SB1 comes shorted, meaning the IC is set for auto-select between the two input power supplies. Large bulk caps are used at both of the inputs and the output to ensure any ripple voltage is filtered. The board features 3 x 0.1" (2.54mm) pitch connectors for connecting the two voltage supplies and the output. The status pin is pulled to VOUT and is available on J3.
