Include one 9 cm. long (2dBm) Antenna. (Antenna might look difference from the showed picture.
If you looking for a simple cheap and easy to use LoRaWan node, you might like it. Let's try it. It is very simple to use and program. Just plug in FTDI to female pin header port. Compatible with Arduino pro mini 8Mhz 3V. With 3 AA size Alkaline batteries, it will run for a year.
2 Groves socket (XH2.54 JST 4 Pin) for I2C Sensor. 1 Grove UART socket (XH2.54 JST 4 Pin) for GPS Module. 1 port for FTDI programming. So, you can program it directly by your FTDI. Only just plug in and use your Arduino IDE. Select Arduino pro mini 8Mhz 3V Board.
We install 8Mhz barebone Optiboot Bootloader. Using internal Xtal clock to minimize the power.
13uA during sleep mode and 125mA during sending (SF7, BW125Khz, TX14). Long Range 1-5 km in city and 5-15km in an urban area. We carefully designed it to be a low power node as much as possible. You can use this node as your sensor node by connecting the node to any sensors you like. It works well with LMIC Library and TheThingsNetwork.
Faster development process. Work with TheThingsNetwork and easily display your sensor data on Cayenne Dashboard. Please choose your country frequency 915Mhz or 868Mhz when place an order. We will provide an antenna that is better match your freq.
You can generate source code for a few sensors with Low power enable by using the skecth generator Click Here
Select "Basic sense/send (low_power)" Template to keep using 13uA while in sleep mode.
After all options are selected, you can click generate. Cut and Paste the program and save as .ino extension.
Open sketch file and Change pin mapping to:
.nss = 10,
.rxtx = LMIC_UNUSED_PIN,
.rst = LMIC_UNUSED_PIN,
.dio = { 4, 5, 7 },
LMIC Library There are many LMIC Libraries for Arduino or ATmega MCU Platform. All of them are forked from IBM LMIC (LoraMAC-in-C) library.
Select one of these:
Low Power Library Low Power Lab
Arduino IDE Select Board and Processor before uploading.
Board : Arduino Pro Mini
Processor : ATMega328 (3.3V 8Mhz)
Important Notice
- This product is suitable only for an user who has a basic knowledge in Arduino IDE and C Language.
- Before plug in FTDI to female pin header on the node, change jumper on FTDI to provide 3.3V. The default jumper from factory is 5V.
- Antenna might look difference from the showed picture.
Remark Using with GPS Module GPS on Picture is NEO-6M. Connect pin GPS RXD to Node RX, pin TXD to TX, pin GND to GND, pin VCC to 3V3.
You might have the following lines in your sketch:
include SoftwareSerial.h
SoftwareSerial gpsSerial(2, 3)
