The extension offers first direct access to the 8 ADCs.
For the ADC A6 and A7 a mode with a 1k pull down resistor is available. This mean you can directly plug an light sensor for example. See the 2 2 pins female header.
For the ADC A0 and A1, 2 3 pins female header wired as follow VCC, ANALOG-PORT, GND allow to plug directly component that require VCC, ANALOG-PORT and GND like the temperature sensor TMP36 or a motion sensor. See the 2 3 pins female header.
To talk to the MCP3008 chip an SPI bus is setup using - GPIO 0 - Clock - GPIO 1 Mosi - GPIO 2 Miso - GPIO 3 Select
The Nusbio's GPIO 4,5,6,7 are available, and the SPI bus can be used to connect other SPI devices.
