Nusbio Board

Nusbio Board is a USB device that brings 8 GPIO pins to Windows and .NET.

Nusbio Board is the same as Nusbio but without the enclosure.

Nusbio is a USB device that brings 8 GPIO pins (General Purpose Input Output) to

• The .NET Runtime and the programming languages: C#, VB.NET, F#, PowerShell.
• I2C and SPI protocol supported
• One unique id
• 40 bytes of EEPROM

With Nusbio you can control with any .NET languages the following components:

• LED, Button, motion sensor, touch sensor
• I2C EEPROM, Temperature Sensor, 8x8 LED Matrix, DAC, GPIO expanders
• SPI 8x8 LED Matrix, ADC (Analog to digital converter)
• APA 102 RGB LED Strip or individual
• With our Analog extension you can connect any analog device like a light sensor
• Nusbio can also be used a FTDI cable to upload code into Arduino compatible like the Trinket Pro or the Diavolino

The following are currently not supported

• PWM for GPIO (coming)
• 1 Wire protocol
• WS2811 and WS2812 RGB LED in strip or not are not supported (coming soon)

Why did you make it?

Because I was wandering why the Raspebrry PI + Linux had GPIOs and Windows + .NET did not?

What makes it special?

Nusbio was designed with .NET and .NET developers in mind.

The Nusbio hardware and software platform makes it is almost easy to create your own USB device.

2 RGB LEDs Extension

What is it?

Two programmable RGB LEDs. The 2 RGB LED or Red,Green,Blue LED can be set to any color using any .NET languages via the Nusbio device.

Why did you make it?

• It is a cheap extension to start programming RGB LEDs and LED strip.
• Source code available in C# and VB.NET.

What makes it special?

A good extension to learn the SPI protocol.

• Each LED is wired on a different SPI BUS.
• The source code communicating with the LEDs is open source.
• The LED are of type APA 102.
• Gpio 0, 1, 2, 3 and Ground and 5Volts pin are available to control other devices via the 10 pins female header on the top
