What is it?

The RFID Field Detector Card helps determine if a RFID reader is using Low Frequency or High Frequency RFID.
When the card is held up to the reader, the "LF" LED will illuminate if the reader is using Low Frequency (125kHz) RFID. The "HF" LED will illuminate if the reader is using High Frequency (13.56 MHz) RFID. Both LEDs will illuminate if the reader uses both frequencies.

NO BATTERIES NECESSARY! The card is powered from the radio signal from the RFID reader :)

SIZE OF A CREDIT CARD! The card will fit in your wallet, however, be careful because the components are exposed.

Why did you make it?

I enjoy everything RFID and this is a fun tool. The original design was by Corey Harding and he gave me permission to remix it and offer it for sale.

What makes it special?

It's a great tool for determining if a RFID reader is using LF or HF RFID. Great for red-team engagements or learning!

An awesome little card, with a tiny little problem

This little card is SUPER cool. Haven't had it for long but it was fun seeing the little LED blink for everything that I put it near that had RFID.

Word of warning though - LED1 is green, not yellow. If it glows yellow (like it did for me), it's too late and you won't be able to use that LED again. I learned this the hard way by trying to see what kind of RFID field my magsafe charger uses (LF by the way, just save your card and don't test it).

I don't think that's something worth penalizing a star for, just something to keep in mind.

Thanks for the feedback! I have updated the Github readme as well as the onboard instructions to tell the users not to use this on non-rfid wireless devices. This should only be used on low frequency and high frequency RFID readers. Also, if you send me a DM, i'll send you a replacement.
