Was this the head of a fierce enemy defeated in battle, a villager slain in one of your many conquests, a fallen comrade, a spiteful lover? You gaze into the black hollow pits where its eyes once were and start to fade in and out of consciousness, as if in a trance. Visions of the future dizzyingly pass by. Fires rage, bodies are strewn, dragons take flight.
What future will you choose?
The Skull of Fate SAO (Standard Add-On) is a modern take on a tarot card, inspired by ancient Greek mythology. The Moirai—also known as the Fates—were the personifications of destiny. They were three sisters:
The Skull of Fate represents Atropos, providing you with a unique tarot reading about the future. Each reading is an interpretation of the cards and their meanings from the original 78-card Rider Waite Tarot deck.

The SAO can act as an I2C client, allowing it to interface with a host device like a Raspberry Pi Pico W running MicroPython.
Arduino Code for SAO I2C Client: The SAO is programmed using Arduino and can respond to I2C commands from a host. This allows for interactive control of the SAO's features such as LEDs, sensors, and effects.
MicroPython Code for I2C Host: The I2C host is based on MicroPython for the Raspberry Pi Pico W. It communicates with the SAO over I2C, sending commands and receiving responses, enabling control over the SAO's functionality.
The SAO, written in Arduino, has USER1 and USER2 ports to interact with the Raspberry Pi Pico Wireless (acting as the host badge).
The SAO is based on several Adafruit components:
