This is a production proven design that incorporates the Particle P1 Module and a 200x200 pixel e-paper display with partial refresh capabilities. Additionally you can include a custom enclosure and 900mAh LiPo battery.

Why Did I Make This?

I recently redesigned the hardware for a consumer product I created and was left with a small amount of boards from the previous revision. Instead of throwing them away I thought they might be useful as a prototyping dev kit for others that are interested in using the P1 module in a production design or a hobby e-paper display project. There are no defects or design flaws that I'm aware of and this version of the hardware continues to perform without issues in the hands of consumers. In other words, I'm not selling them because they are defective.

Extreme Low Power

This board was designed with extreme low power in mind for a battery powered application. In deep sleep the hardware consumes just 52uA of current.

Onboard LiPo Charger

The onboard circuitry will charge an attached 1S LiPo battery when connected to power via the micro USB port.

Partial Refresh

Some e-paper displays require a full refresh to update the contents of the display which can lead to an ugly, full-screen flash update. The included e-paper display supports partial update so you can update the display seamlessly.

Assembly Note

Display is attached to the main PCB and can be easily removed if desired using the onboard connector. If enclosure option is selected at checkout the display will NOT be mounted in the enclosure. Mounting the display is quick and easy and can be done with hot glue or other available adhesive.
