What is it?

Stepper is widely used in auto-control projects such as 3D printer/CNC, and whenever else one needs precise, powerful motion. Makerfabs MaTouch 1.28” toolset_stepper controller provides a good way to quickly learn/prototype solution for stepper controlling.

This item is basically composed of MaTouch 1.28” controller and Stepper Driver TMC2209, which is a popular driver that support 1/8 ,1/16, 1/32 or 1/64 microsteps per STEP toggle, users can simply set this by jumpers. Besides, often known as "silent" or "stealth" chips - compared to the A4988, TMC2209 are unbelievably quiet thanks to the microstepping techniques used. This helps to reduces noise, to ensure this stepper controller working so stable/quiet. This module is also equiped with 2 channel current sensor, to monitor the stepper working current all the time.

With Makerfabs Default UI, users can direct control the stepper on both channels with Mode Position and Speed. In position model, user can precisely manually control stepper position by MaTouch knob, setting the distance of each step, this mode suits for applications that detailed position setting needed such as mechanical system setting/debugging; with speed mode, users can set the both channel stepper rotation speed/direction.

This item is shipped by default with 1 pcs 42mm stepper, you can also select to order extra 1 sets of stepper

MaTouch 1.28” ToolSets are series of ESP32-based products mainly consist of MaTouch 1.28” controller and kinds of functional expansion such as Dimmer/ Relay Controller/ Motor Driver, etc. It’s designed as tools to control/drive these actuators directly while also keep open hardware/software, which make it possible for users’ remaking and integration to other field projects.
