What is it?

How cool would it be to have a wireless spread spectrum (DSM2/DSMX) module on a Xbee footprint so you are able to upload Arduino sketches directly? Via the DSMX/DSM2 protocol you are able to control most of the commercial available RC cars/helicopters/boats and drones! Also, it should be possible to make a receiver. The board is assembled by iTead.cc.

What can you develop with it?

• DSMX/DSM2 transmitter, via computer application controlled (via USB adapter board, UART), or directly via joystick (analog inputs)

• Or own protocol transmitter/receiver

Why did you make it?

I made this just for fun, actually I wanted to create a DSMX module for my customized PS3 controller, also see this page: LINK!

But because the lack of time I am now selling the project.

What makes it special?

It's a non-existing product. Maybe there even is a market for this? The price is relatively high, the reason for this is that there are only 5 boards produced, so no mass production. This makes it even a more unique product.

Important!!

Please note that the software for this product has not yet been finished! So the DSMX protocol is not yet implemented. I can, however, confirm that the hardware is OK, I'm also able to upload Arduino Sketches directly via the IDE (of course you need the XBee USB adapter board). I'm also able to communicate with the Cypress CYRF6936 via SPI communication. So the board works in general, but as said, I'm selling the project because the lack of time abd I'm having issues programming because this is not my expertise.
