Read More…PRICE REDUCED! The opto-isolated USB to UART converter allows the communication between a noise sensitive device, for example ultra low noise high bit counts ADC/DAC boards and the PC. The isolation is achieved optically, which means that any possible ground induced noise coming from the PC is exacerbated. It is 3.3 V and 5 V compatible without the need to change any resistors. It can achieve 2Mbps communication.
I originally designed it for an ultra low noise, computer controlled, current drivers for a laser diode used in interferometry and I have been using it in my projects ever since.
It is very compact and it includes both TX and RX leds in addition to hardware flow control signals (CTS and RTS). It is based on a FTDI chip and it doesn't require any special drivers.
The board comes fully assembled and tested, no additional assembly or soldering is required.
