What is it?

This board transforms 110v or 230v AC voltage to 5v & 3.3v DC, with up to 2.5W of power. It's just perfect to power up your Arduino projects. It takes the high voltage on one side via a 2-pins screw header, and delivers 5v, 3.3v, and 2 ground pins on the other side via a 4-pins header.

Why did you make it?

I made this project to have a simple way to power up Arduino & other microcontrollers projects that needed to be powered up directly from a wall power outlet. For example, I used it to build a WiFi-controlled power plug that also measures power consumption & upload this data to the cloud. With this board, the project doesn't require any battery and can run forever.

What makes it special?

Compared to other board based on custom designs around transformers & rectifiers, this product uses a dedicated module to convert the input voltage to 5v. Therefore, it is very safe and the converter module is already approved by authorities in the US & Europe. It is also perfect for Arduino projects, as it directly delivers a stable 5v & 3.3v voltages.
