This breakout board is great for experimenting with USB-enabled AVR or PIC microcontrollers on a solderless breadboard.
It can also be used on a breadboard for just powering it with 5 volts from your laptop when on the road.
To keep shipping costs down the (included) 2x5 pin header is not soldered onto the PCB. But the tricky USB connector is already there, so anyone that has ever used a soldering iron before can easily finish it.
The PCB have markings to easily determine what the 5 pins are for.
V = VCC (+5 volts)
- = USB Data-
+ = USB Data+
i = USB ID signal (seldom used)
0 = GND

Incredibly useful
Incredibly useful bread boarding accessory which uses nearly 50% less space than my existing perf board version. Priced very economically too!

Awesome
These boards are awesome because of the double row header which allows me to easily sniff on the data lines with my logic analyzer while having the board directly connected to a processor board. I ordered both mini and micro versions. Having some Mini/Micro to USB A adapters allows these board to be used as Host/Device and OTG depending on particular needs.
