Drone frame components are made with an innovative process that enables production of environmentally friendly composite material from natural fibers and PLA. Drone frame is one of the first attempts at providing an alternative for petroleum based composites (epoxy, carbon fiber) and other energy consuming reinforcements like glass fiber.

Frame is made up of 3D printed connections, composite parts and metal hardware. This listing only includes composite parts. You will need to 3D print the connections and purchase 2,5mm bolts to assemble the whole frame. Files for 3D prints are available here.

Joints between composite bars and 3D printed components (that do not have predrilled holes) should be glued (super glue, minute epoxy or more environmentally friendly alternatives). We are still working on a reliable bio-degradable suggestion/solution for gluing components.

Due to the good machining properties additional holes can be drilled to the drone frame to fit different accessories (like cameras, battery, ECU holders,…).
