What is it?

Synapse is a CV to MIDI Eurorack module allowing you to control an external instrument using your modular synth. With Synapse, you get a total of 6 CV inputs that can be mapped to any midi CC and 10 trigger inputs that can be mapped to any midi note.

This allows you to trigger notes on any midi instruments and to control some of its parameters (eg. LFO speed, Filter resonance etc.).

The original firmware is designed to work with a Korg Volca Beats but it's very easy to adapt to any other instrument, even for beginners.

You can choose between a kit or a fully assembled module.

Why did you make it?

I initially made this module to control my Korg Volca Beats drum kit but you can actually use it to control any instrument with a MIDI input.

What makes it special?

This module is very easy to build even for beginners, most of the components are already soldered, you just have to solder the Jacks, some connectors and a few easy to solder components, really nothing difficult here, however, if you are really not into DIY for your Eurorack modules, here is the fully assembled version of the module.

The logic is done on an Arduino Nano and the source code is available on Github

The firmware is easy to adapt to your needs and is uploaded to the module using the Arduino IDE.

Shipping Policy

In the case of any mistakes or defects in your order, please let me know right away. I'll do my best to make things right.

Assemblies are often built on-demand. Please allow up to a week lead time for all orders containing any custom-assembled items.

Orders can be cancelled anytime before the shipping label has already been generated, in that case a full refund can be issued. Once the label has been generated, the order can no longer be cancelled; it can only be returned for a refund.

Returns are fine as long as they occur within 2 weeks. Please notify me of any returns in advance. A full refund will be issued for all returned items that are received in like-new condition. However, outgoing shipping expenses will not be refunded, and any return shipping expenses will not be reimbursed.

It is the buyer's sole responsibility to safely return any purchased items in order to receive a refund. This includes paying for any return postage and/or shipping insurance premiums. If the buyer decides to refuse a package or designate a package as RTS (return to sender) via the carrier (instead of paying for return postage) there is usually no guarantee that the package will be returned to me in a timely manner, or at all. A refund may not be issued until the items are physically received and inspected. If any return shipping expenses are billed to me by the carrier, that amount will be deducted from any associated refund.

International buyers are solely responsible for any import customs duties, taxes, fees, tariffs, or any other associated costs. These costs will not be reimbursed in the case of a return, and any import costs that I need to pay in order to facilitate a return shipment may be deducted from any associated refund. If a shipment is returned to me because of unpaid import customs fees, the original shipping costs will not be refunded.
