Features

Display

The display allows you to read the current desk height - either in centimeters or inches, just as you like. To make it more comfortable you can also adjust the display brightness as well as the duration of the screen time.

Save your personal desk positions

You can save up to four different desk positions and access them easily using the memory buttons.

Automatic Driving Mode

Tired of pressing the button until your final position is reached? Then you should use the automatic driving mode and do more interesting things while your desk is moving to your preferred position. Just enable this feature in the settings menu. It's as easy as that!

Safety Pin

On the basis of the original controller LYFT also supports a safety pin. The pin is needed to move the desk and to unlock the settings menu for changes. It is fully compatible with the original IKEA safety pin which is provided with the BEKANT desk. Please note that the safety pin is not included. If you lost your safety pin you can order it as a spare part directly from your local IKEA store.

Settings Menu

The settings menu allows you to customize the remote control to your preferred needs and offers additional information about your desk.

All features are described in detail in the user manual.

Motivation

During the pandemic my wife and I agreed to a shared desk policy while we were working at our home office. After a few days it became quite annoying to change desk positions whenever we took turns on our single working desk. I was seeking for a solution in order to make a desk rotation more convenient to both of us. LYFT is the result of this project. I hope you are going to enjoy it as much as I did!

Great product; awesome seller!

After getting a notice of restock, I ordered my Lyft, and it arrived fast (even with overseas shipping). The seller provided excellent communication & packaging. After I read the included doc, plugged it in, and was off and running. Not a single hitch so far. Excellent documentation is available in case I wanna hack at it myself. I couldn't recommend this product or seller enough. Great sale; I would not hesitate to do more business with this seller again. Thanks!

Perfect product to improve the usage of your desk

Been trying LYFT out for a few days now and it really lifts the usage of of my desk.
The controller is of high quality, well thought out and easy to use.
Within minutes of packing it up, i had it installed and setup after my liking.
The manual was really well written and you really see that it fits the IKEA-esk style.
Packaging was really good and the little bonus treat in the box was a really amazing addition.
Would give it higher then 5/5 if i could.

Good replacement for original part

The product called Lyft is working as good as I expect after the two weeks since installation. Installation was as easy as it can get, being a straightforward replacement of the original part that is only held by two screws. I was even able to use same holes and screws. Manual is verbose enough and easy to understand (and I can tell how bad commercial offerings can be). I had to use the troubleshooting guide and it was spot on the fact that I had to power off the whole system for five minutes for initial setup.

LYFT should be the default remote for every BEKANT desk!

LYFT is exactly what I wanted for the BEKANT desk.
The usage is intuitive and everything necessary is explained in the excellent documentation!

Excellent desk upgrade

This is what I was looking for. I asked myself if I should replace my desk with another and then crawled the web if somebody did try to hack IKEA's BEKANT desk. I found Megadesk and LYFT.
LYFT works out of the box. Replace the original panel with the new one, power it up and that's it. The documentation is brilliant and leaves no questions open. Thanks!
