What is it?

This is an acrylic project box for the Arduino Mega (it also works with the Arduino Uno). This is the second-largest of the Arduino Mega model enclosures that I make - it has room inside for most shield boards. The internal dimensions are 3.1" (W) by 4.4" (L) by 1.5" (H).

The design is similar to my Arduino Mega-II enclsoure enclosure kit, but is a little shorter and does not have a fan mount. It comes with aluminum standoffs and all the fasteners to complete the assembly.

Please note: Arduino Mega shown in photos is not included!

Why did you make it?

People were asking for a slightly smaller enclosure than the Large Arduino (Mega-II) model and without a fan, so I adapted the design and made it 1/2" shorter.

What makes it special?

The included aluminum standoffs make the box very rigid and does not put additional strain on the acrylic when assembled. The kit is available in a variety of colors.

The back and top panels also have cutouts for getting sensor or other wiring in and out of the box.

Acrylic board support to elevate and support the arduino board
4 1 1/2" aluminum threaded standoffs
8 5/16" screws
2 1/2" screws for mounting the arduino to the lower plate
2 hex nuts for mounting the arduino to the lower plate

Excellent Project Enclosure

Parts arrived cleanly cut and professionally bagged and shipped. Instructions were clear and the case went together easily around our Arduino PCB stack.
