Read More…This is a small digital video adapter that plugs into the video port on the back of the Apple IIc or Apple IIc+. It runs Mike Neil's A2CDVI firmware which the RP2040 microcontroller uses to convert the various video signals to reconstruct the video output in TDMS format. It outputs video using the DVI format via an HDMI connector and supports 720x480p or 640x480p resolution.
I made it because Mike's adapter board schematic for the A2DVI card works but it is really big and great for tinkering but not a good portable solution. This makes it very small and eliminates the extra unused chips from the A2DVI.
This is a new and very inexpensive open source solution to output video from the Apple IIc and IIc+ to modern displays. This design is open source itself and open hardware.
