What is it?

It's a PCB for making snes games, yey!

New in Rev 4, A few minor tweaks, added DIP through hole alternate pads for 12F629 (SuperCiC)
New in Rev 5, added pads for 16kb and 256kb sram chips, there are still problems with these, will be fixed
New in Rev 6, added pads for use with smd passives, 256k sram issue is still not fixed

These boards basically combine my repro board link and the 27C322 to snes rom adapter link into one PCB

Extra pads for using 27C160 chips, when making smaller 16mbit (2mb) games.

Retron5, my pcbs do work but these are weird, some game hacks just don't work on Retron5.

Stuff that you need

2x 1k resistors
2x 1N4148 signal diodes
2x 74LS257 or 74HC257 SOIC
2x 0.1uf ceramic cap
1x 22uf electrolytic cap
1x 2N2222 NPN transistor TO-92
1x 74LS139 OR 74HC139 DIP
1x 2032 battery with solder legs, most 2032 holders are supported but all doesn't fit height wise, the clearance in the snes cart shells is only 6mm.
1x SRAM 6216, 6264, 52256, 8bit wide 5volt, both wide and slim packages are supported.
1x 12F629 SOIC or DIP preprogrammed with supercic key code, this is for bypassing the lockout feature in unmodified consoles (retron5 and the like doesn't care)

1x 27C322 preprogrammed with a rom, make sure to remove any added header.

Color incorrecto

En la foto son de color rojo, al llegar son color verde, ese problema no se avisa en ninguna parte, una gran decepcion, el producto aun esta por probar, aunque sea bueno deberian corregir esos detalles

Great pcb

I was looking for a substitute PCB from the one I was using before which is no longer available when I stumbled on this PCB. It is better than what I was using before!!! Very easy to understand what to do even without documentation. I have found my new SNES pcb!!!

Pretty simple to put together, even for beginners

It looks great and works great too!

I was a bit worried since this was my first project using SMD components, but it turned out fine on my first try. If that is your case too, I suggest you watch a few videos on youtube about SMD soldering and go for it--don't be scared. :)

I couldn't agree more, people are scared of soldering smds for no reason, the soic chips this boards use are very easy to solder.

Fantastic Boards

These boards are my absolute favorite way to make hacks/repros/etc.

These are easy enough to build assuming you aren't scared of soldering a few mildly fine-pitched parts, but nothing on here is too daunting, and a little drop of liquid flux is all you need for the surface-mount parts if you don't get them right the first time (I never do).

Boards are clean, durable, and so far MrTentacle has shipped them to me quickly and well packaged. As soon as I can afford it I'm going to order another 10 or 20!
