Hex-O

Hex-O is able to blink colourfully to whatever pattern you could code. It comes with two default patterns, the rotating rainbow and cross-fading colours.

Hex-O has two matte black PCBs in the shape of hexagon. One PCB has 8 back-soldered RGB LEDs in a circular pattern. The LEDs are driven by a programmable SAMD20 micro-controller. The other PCB has a CR2032 battery holder.

Hex-O is small. The hexagon is about 40mm by 36mm. The length of each side is about 20mm and the diagonal length is 40mm.

How to assemble Hex-O?

Hex-O has to be assembled with M3 Hexagon spacers provided in the package.

• There are two mounting holes on each PCB. One is labelled as GND and the other 3V3.
• Use spacers to connect GND to another GND, and 3V3 to another 3V3.
• Just do not short-circuit between GND and 3V3 after the assembly.

What is in the package?

All components including SAMD20, LEDs, battery holder and so on are soldered on the PCB and tested. SAMD20 is also preprogrammed. In the package, there are the following items.

• 2 matte-black hexagon PCBs completely soldered,
• 6 M3-Hexagon spacers to assemble two PCBs (GND to GND, 3V3 to 3V3).

There is no battery inside the package due to the shipping restrictions.
