After the design of Hex-O, I have received some feedback for improvement. So here is the result:

Reduce the number of RGB LEDs from 8 to 6.
Switch the micro-controller from SAMD20 to SAMD21. This change brings the native USB interface for easy code update in the future. It enables easy LED animation with Arduino or CircuitPython. It is a breezy to customize the code to your satisfaction.
