Mouse jiggler to keep your status "active" even if you are away from your keyboard ("AFK")

I got fed up with my PC locking my desktop after 10 minutes and requiring a password to log back in again - this was a real downer if I was in the middle of a presentation!

AFKfix identifies itself as a mouse to the host computer (PC, Mac, Linux, any operating system) and moves the mouse by less than one pixel at random intervals. This is enough to keep your computer awake, but doesn't get in the way of doing your work.

Skype and Teams will remain active, games won't time out. No software is installed on your computer so it's safe to use on the computer supplied by your employer school, university etc.

Just plug it in, no other configuration or installation is required.... but it is based on the popular "Digispark" development board, so you can program it yourself if you want to! All the useful pins of the microcontroller are broken out and there's a tiny pushbutton switch and dual-colour LED on there to play with, if you so choose! If you're looking for a generic Arduino though, this one is a bit fiddly to use if you're planning to do a lot of hacking or development. If you do want a small Digispark-compatible board to do a lot of hacking on, I would probably recommend the "Picoduino."

I usually ship the AFKfix in a regular envelope, in a cut out cardboard sleeve. This protects it but allows it to fit in a normal envelope. Just send me a message and I am happy to add express shipping, signature on delivery etc.

As of December 2022, I am unaware of any covid19 related shipping issues from Australia.

Nifty little device! Trustworthy seller.

The device works just as described and moves the mouse by a tiny amount on random (10s approx?) intervals, preventing the computer from locking up. Flashes a led as it moves the mouse. The amount it moves the mouse is so miniscule it does not affect computer usage, so there is no need to remove it while working. The documentation is adequate if one wishes to modify the device. I however intend to use it as it is.

The jigger was shipped within couple of days but took over a month to arrive from Australia to Northern Europe. It was sent in an untracked envelope, which was however well packed. The seller also sent images of the device placed into a cardboard protector via email prior to shipping. The local customs did not take notice of the shipment and it was able to arrive without any trouble. Depending on your carrier, your mileage may of course vary.
