What is it?

A connected Air Quality monitor that can be paired to a home automation server over MQTT. Plug the USB, let it connect to your router, and it starts to measure PM1.0, PM2.5, PM10 and even smaller 0.5 and 0.3µm particles.

Why did you make it?

Are you using wood working tools, a 3D printer, a laser cutter? Then you should be concerned about your health. Theses maker's tools are responsible for high fine particles emissions which can cause long term health issues. Other comparable devices on the market are either super expensive, or send data over Chinese’s servers and do not allow MQTT. That is why I wanted to build an affordable, open source device that serves the buyer and not another big company. This one is even hackable as it can handle more I2C sensors, or different behavior based on a simplified code structure.
