A Celebration of Tandem Computers! The Tandem 50th Anniversary Badge A name badge with detailed recognition and functional display and switches.

This is a project to show the love of the NonStop computing family over the past 50+ years. I decided to make a badge that was like a DefCon badge only for all those that are touched by the greatness that was Tandem Computers.

This badge is special because it includes a tribute to the iconic panel switches that were on the first three generations of Tandem systems T16 (TNS-I), TNS-II, and TXP computers.

The special features include:

A paper white display that shows the name whether the device is on or off. Name, employee number (optional)

This is a kit that contains all of the items necessary to build your own badge.

Kit does not contain the SAO boards or parts!

It contains:

• 2 circuit boards - Top and bottom
• Spacers/stand-offs and hardware to space the boards properly
• ICs (4) with sockets - Shift registers
• Headers for the display processor
• Thru-hole LEDs (16 yellow, 2 red, one green)
• Through hole resistors (3) and resistor arrays (2)
• Female SAO headers for the display (2)
• DIP switches (5 sets of 3 DIPs and one single DIP switch)
• LilyGo display with ESP processor
