What is it?

µCharge is a USB LiPoly battery charger. It has a microUSB receptacle and will charge 3.7 or 4.2 volt liPoly cells or batteries at 500 mA. There are two LEDs - one indicates the battery is charging, and the other indicates that the charge cycle is finished. It is a perfect adjunct to µBoost. The two together, plus a LiPoly battery back, can be used to make a custom rechargeable USB battery pack.

Why did you make it?

In developing µBoost, I discovered that there were limits to how much current primary cells could supply, so I had to figure out a way to support LiPoly batteries to make the full specifications of µBoost usable.
