What is it?

This snowy owl is cute. It is about one inch in diameter. It is purple. It has an ENIG golden finish, and it has 6 resistors of 0201 footprints on the back to challenge your soldering skills.

Why did you make it?

Owls are one of my favorite animals. Snowy Owls live in the north and are native to Arctic regions including Canada. While most owls sleep during the day and hunt at night, the snowy owl is active during the day. Strange, right?

When the first design is finished, it uses most components of a 0805 footprint. For this challenge, all the resistors are changed to a 0201 size.

What makes it special?

A dual inverter NL27WZ04 is used to implement the ring oscillator, which drives the blinking of the LEDs.
