The IO Explorer is a carrier board with expanded IO connectivity options for the Cast-Away RP2040.

It's now easier than ever to explore the IO options of the Cast-Away RP2040! With holes for header pins, alligator clips, and 5 Stemma QT/Qwiic compatible connectors, you can be sure to find all the best ways to connect your Cast-Away to all your ideas.

This board makes it easy to use the GPIO of the RP2040 on the Cast-Away RP2040 with solder less connectors like alligator clips and the 5 Stemma QT./Qwiic connectors.

What's Included

the IO Explorer provides a SMD solderable pad for the Cast-Away as well as through hole for header based mounting. Headers can be soldered to the additional header holes for connecting jumper cables. The large edge pads allow for connecting alligator clips to the pins for easy solder free connections.

What Can You Do?

The IO Explorer allows you to easily explore the pins broken out on the Cast-Away RP2040. In addition to easy to use IO connection points, the IO Explorer has mounting holes which make it easy to permanently include the IO Explorer in your next installation. To add greater flexibility, you can also use headers in the recessed holes to mount a QT PY RP2040.
