What is it?

An open source ESP32 based audio development board. It can be used for a wide range of applications including digital music synthesis, smart musical instrument design, sound art installations, acoustic sensor networks, internet radio, Bluetooth speaker, web audio and voice user interface design.

Why did you make it?

This design emerged from months of experimentation with various ESP32 development boards, DAC breakout boards, ADC breakout boards, microphone breakout boards and audio-connector breakout boards. After encountering various hardware related development issues with other ESP32 audio boards such as GPIO pins not working, or noise in the audio output when the WiFi is on, we decided to make one board that included all the above functionality, with no hardware issues.

What makes it special?

It has been thoroughly tested by the development community and crowd funding backers. There is a well documented Github repository with example source code. If DIY music synthesis is your bag, there are also a very limited number of Eurorack modules available at Crowd Supply.
