The measurement is based on capacitive method, the electrodes of the sensor are insulated from the soil and thus protected against corrosion. There are places on the board for BME280, DS18B20 and light sensor 3528-PTSM D3528. Firmware is provided for this. The default version of sensor sends temperature, humidity, pressure, light - 0. Also you can use the DS18B20 in a sleeve to provide soil temperature data.
Sensor added to zigbee2mqtt v1.16.0.
Since the board has several sensors it can be used as a temperature/humidity sensor by cutting off the soil sensor.
