This product is a fairly simple power supply that uses a 12VAC wall-plug and converts it to standard Eurorack power rails: 5v, 12v, and -12v.

Note: You will need to provide your own 12VAC source.

Details

Device uses a dual half-wave rectifier setup
High voltage diodes
High current LDO voltage regulators on all three rails
Large capacitor bank to minimize ripple
Device can provide up to 750mA on 5.0v rail, 350mA on +12V and -12V rails.
Reverse voltage protection on board to prevent damage from switched inductive loads.
Uses a 5.5mm barrel jack.
Individual power indicator LEDs for each power rail

What makes it special?

This is a great starter board for somebody trying to get into DIY modular on a budget. Save a bunch of cash that you can spend building your own modules, or buying retail modules. Also has a through-hole header in case you are working on bench projects and just need a split rail.

The tiniest components (0603 LEDs and 0402 Resistors) come pre-populated on the PCB
Can be assembled without hot air or a reflow oven

Excellent little Power Supply

Bought this for my workbench. The kit is nicely packaged and is easily assembled in a few minutes. Seller was great with post-sale communication. Now I need a little enclosure for it!

Great little power supply

Just what I needed for a small DIY case. I really like the matte black surface, and the SMD capacitors are very low-profile, so there's more room left over for fingers and cables. Also, I really appreciate the tiny LEDs for each rail's power! It's already helped me debug more than one problem with breadboards on my workbench.

Highly recommend this kit to anyone with a modular set up - if you are just getting started or looking to make a nice smaller rack. Perfect for a test rack too. The LEDs are a little blinding, but easy enough to cover up. It is an incredible value and very well thought out. I would buy this kit again without hesitation.

Perfect

Perfect power supply. Very easy to do as a kit and fits perfectly in my custom box because it is very flat but very efficient!

Great item

I bought this because i'm just starting out with modular and a full box is pretty pricey. The kit was a little bit challenging to solder for me but I was able to do it with the documentation piece and the item works great.

Perfect Power Supply For A Lunchbox System

I've ordered 3 of these (so far) and they make an ideal supply for a small lunchbox Eurorack system. Assembly is easy and the compact size makes it perfect for many situations. Recommended!

A great kit - looks great, straightforward to build

This was my first time soldering SMD (and only my third or fourth time building any kit) so I was a little unsure how I'd do. It turned out that this kit was clearly laid out, the pads were nice and large and I was able to put it together with no problems. I appreciated that the very small components were pre-populated though. It's also great that this outputs a +5VDC as well as +/-12VDC.

All round this was an entirely positive experience. Thank you!
