The board came about as of need for large serial 7 segment LED display and is based on Sparkfun design with larger 1.8" 7 segment LED display modules. All ports, I2C, serial and SPI ports are wired to a break out connector for easy expansion and hookup to driving controllers. The board had also been fited with connectors for ESP8266-01 and/or ESP8266-12 linked via I2C port to the ATmega328 processor that is driving the displays. To further expand functionality there is option for DHT sensor and serial port for devices as GPS to get time from satelite.

Software / Firmware As the board in essence is a module with ATmega328 it requires firmware to run it as per original design can be found at Sparkfun Github repository. Optionally the firmware can be modified to build a custom application.
