The module is powered by a 5 volt supply to drive the relays. The inputs are designed to be triggered by a 5-volt input signal, however, I have tested the boards with an input voltage as low as 3.3 volts from my teensy 3.6 and was able to drive them with no issue. The relays are energized when the input is high, and off when the input is low.

I originally built this product for a rover I built using the relay board to energize motor drives and other devices that operate at higher voltages then the microcontroller I was using. When I ordered the boards from JLCPCB, it made more sense to order multiple boards. Rather then have the boards sit and collect dust, I figured I would see if any other makers could find a use for them. The biggest advantage I was trying to achieve when I made them was to make them more compact compared to others I found from other sellers.
