Pi-UpTime UPS 2.0 is ready to use and is designed to work with a Pi-4 or a Pi-3. Power is input via USB-C OR micro-USB connector or an external power source (max 5.5V). UPS max 2.5A. Can use Li-Ion (Li-Polymer) or Li-Phosphate batteries. An On/Off switch connection allows power to be manually cut off to the Pi or reset the Pi as needed. An on-board ADC measure operating conditions (Vin, Vout, Vbattery and Temperature). Shutdown can be triggered when battery V is low. Python script is available for download from the Alchemy Power web site. External connections via terminal blocks allow alternate connections for Vin, Vout, and Battery. UPS 3.3V (max 800mA) allows connections for external sensors. I2C bus connection to the Pi is also available for external sensors. No GPIO's used. Includes BMS and several safety features (temperature, low battery charging, current loops between batteries, max 2.5A current limit etc. Battery, terminal blocks, switches not included. Provides UPS using one or two rechargeable 18650 Lithium batteries in battery holder or connecting an external battery. Batteries are not included. Choice of Li-Ion, Li-Polymer or Li-Phosphate batteries. Please use unprotected 18650 batteries. Protected batteries will not fit in the battery holder.
Power in via USB-C (recommended) or Micro-USB. Ideal for Pi-4 or Pi-3B+ or other maker projects. Output Current limit of 2.5A. Steady 5V output on UPS. Input V is passed through when power is available. Low input V is indicated via LED.
On board ADC allows Vin, Vout, Battery V and temperature monitoring via I2C. Sample Python code can be downloaded for use from Alchemy Power web site.
Connection for On/Off switch (switch not included) as well as external connections for Power and battery. UPS 3.3V out (max 800mA) for connecting sensors.
Several safety features are built in. LED's indicate status, including when UPS is operational.
Exposes Vin, Vout, Vbattery, and I2C connections. Allows external connections for Output V, external batteries, or external power sources. Max Vin 5.5V. UPS Vout regulated 5V +- 2%. Recommend using 2.54mm terminal blocks from OST, TE, Phoenix etc. for connections. Terminal blocks not included.
Mechanically secure the board using 2.5 mm x 22 mm spacers. Spacers not provided. Mounting holes match Raspberry Pi specifications.

The product comes fully assembled and ready to use as designed. If you would like to modify the inputs etc. you can, but in that case some soldering will be required.
