• No Pressurized Water Required: The system does not require a pressurized water connection. The pump can draw water from any bucket filled with rainwater or manually refilled.

Open Source

Power Supply

• Supported Power Banks: Ensure reliable operation of the homegreen Node with one of the following recommended power banks:
• Solar Power Bank: For autonomous operation, use the following solar power bank compatible with the homegreen Node: Amazon.
• Anker PowerCore 20100
• RAVPOWER RP-PB19
• Posigear 10000
• Anker PowerCore 5000

Other power banks will likely work as well. However each power bank has its own wakeup system, which may cause unreliable operation. See the GitHub Readme for more details. An ordinary microUSB power supply can also be used.

Water Pump (Sold Separately)

• Versatile Water Source: Use the pump with any bucket filled with rainwater or manually refilled, offering flexibility and convenience.
• Compatibility: The controller supports a wide range of water pumps. Purchase the compatible water pump through our store (available soon) or from:
• Amazon Pump 1
• Amazon Pump 2 --> the 4.8W variant without LEDs
• Pump Requirement: The water pump should have a flow rate of 300L/h for optimal performance. It also needs to feature a USB-A Connection.

Hose Set, Connectors, and Sprinklers (Sold Separately)

• Complete Hose Set: Order the necessary hose set, connectors, and sprinklers in a combined package for seamless integration. --> available soon!

How It Works

1. Install the Hose Set and Sprinklers: Configure the hose, connectors, and sprinklers to distribute water evenly across your garden bed. Ensure a proper drainage system to prevent extensive watering. For best water efficiency, feed the drained water back into the water tank!
2. Attach the Water Pump: First, test the flow rate and pressure of the pump with the installed hose set by connecting it to the power bank directly. Next, connect the water pump to the controller using the USB-A port.
3. Setup the Controller: Place the homegreen Node in your garden bed and connect it to a power bank via MicroUSB. For autonomous operation, use a solar power bank. Place the power bank at a rainproof spot, which still allows the solar panels to charge.
4. Configure the Node: Use the 7-segment display and the touch buttons through the casing to set up watering schedules and preferences. A guide of the user interface can be found in the GitHub Readme.
