Summary

A nice vintage style envelope generator (EG) for Eurorack systems. This EG uses all discrete components (no ICs or IC sockets) so it's cheap, fun and easy to build.

The EG can be switched between ADSR and ADSD mode with a front panel push button. In ADSD mode the Delay pot controls the delay and the release parts of the envelope just like some popular synths of the 1970s and 1980s.

This EG outputs an exponential curve and has a re-triggerable gate.

IMPORTANT NOTE

This is a PCB and Panel set only. A set of 1 high quality PCB and 1 front panel ONLY are included. You will need to purchase your own components and build your own module. Comprehensive build instructions and BOMs are provided to help you source the components needed and we even provide links to shopping carts to simplify sourcing those components. Some product photos above show COMPLETED build.

There is an option to purchase a fully built and tested unit.

Standard 0 to 10V envelope customizable to 5V
Exponential envelope curves
Gate mode: When gate held, envelope follows ADS stages. When gate released, R stage begins.
Switch between ADSR and ADSD modes. Push in the button to invoke the Release pot.
Fun and easy to build with all discrete semiconductors.
For keyboard controllers with retrigger output, you can reset the envelope to the attack phase.

great eurorack module

This module does exactly what it says, Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release Or Delay. The instructions online are top notch, as well as having mouser carts for the components needed to build one.

I've bought a few modules from him and they are all similarly easy to assemble if you follow his directions.

My second DIY module

I just started building my own DIY modular synth and this was my second module I made.
Easy to build and very powerfull! The right project to start!
I have not yet understood well the function of the ADSD mode and the trigger Input, but, since it is only recently that I started playing with analogue synths, I still have to do a lot of practice to fully understand how they works!

Nice vintage-style EG

This is an easy-to-build envelope generator for people who are looking to duplicate the functionality of vintage synths such as an Oberheim SEM or MiniMoog. It can act as a 3-stage EG, as those two synths have, or a 4-stage. It's a great part of a vintage-sounding Eurorack setup. Combine this with a pair of 8080 VCOs and a 3080 VCF and you're on your way to coming very close to the sound of an SEM.
