Amazing little units!

I got a few of these to tune as LFOs. As a bit of background, I do mostly experimental stuff, so I went and tried to tune them to be as slow as possible, and these little things delivered! The "fastest" one cycles over 16 minutes (!) while the slowest one does about 30 minutes (!!) for a single cycle. At these low rates, the "rise" time is about 1 minute, while the "fall" time makes up the rest of the cycle. Meanwhile, they will also go up above 1kHz at their fastest setting, which means I can, continuously!, cover really, really slow cycles all the way into audio-rate modulation. I am extremely happy! With more tuning, you can easily go higher than 1kHz if you prefer.

Since mine are tuned as LFOs, I can't comment on the V/Oct tracking, but I've used them as oscillators already, and they sound really nice and are really precise! They're easy to stack to create unison/pwm-like sounds, or use them as "main"/sub" oscillator pairs. With the "fine control", you can have them beat against each other really slowly, which is great!

The build and documentation was easy and straightforward. The tuning can be tricky, but also affords quite a bit of flexibility: LFO and/or VCO, nice tracking over all frequencies, and really clean or really dirty oscillators, thanks to the "roundness" and "symmetry" trimmers!

A nice little VCO/LFO combo!

Nice kit for a simple VCO/LFO! The documentation is very good and the PCB clearly labeled. I like the layout of the panel a lot.

EDIT: Managed to build it, but took me a while to figure out how to tune it, now it sounds amazing even with no perfectly matched transistors it tracks very well! Although more detailed tuning procedure documentation or a simple diagram/schematic of tuning circuit will be much appreciated! Thanks again!

Great space saver VCO!

This little VCO is awesome! It barely takes up any space in my rack, and tracks wonderfully. At first I had issues with tracking, and after e-mailing for support (which resulted in near instant response with help) I realized it was probably hardware related. Turns out the mystery origin 2n3906's were at fault. I matched up a set from a known good supplier, swapped them in and the tracking is wonderful. I can't wait to build some more modules from PMF!

Awesome range

This uVCO is great, you can adjust it to become a LFO or a VCO but honestly works good as both. I bought two of these including alot of modules and the shipping was fast to Canada and came in a nice box.

µVCO

I first heard of Tindie after a maker friend (Circuitbenders.uk) asked what his customers thought seller sites other than eBAY. I had a quick look through what was on Tindie and stumbled across PMfoundations and thought in for a penny in for a pound. I ordered it as it seemedvery, very reasonably priced and shipping inexpensive - it arrived well packaged and very quickly.

I love the PCB and panel - simple straightforward design - great documentation ,quick and easy to build, dead easy to calibrate - and in use the VCO is great it's turned my Mother 32 into a beast!

I'll definitely be back for more modules soon!

EXCELLENT

I bought it for the sine output! After a little help from the seller (my fault) that thing tracks nicely (actually a little more accurate than my Intellijel Atlantis)!
BUY IT .. better buy the big version for the features, I didn't have the rackspace!

Excellent all around

Excellent sounding oscillator. Tracks perfectly. I had a bit of trouble tuning mine (due to my own error) and got super quick and superb help from the manufacturer. Excellent product and service all around. Highly recommended!
