If you would like a neat little mixer and want to give your SMD soldering a refresher or you are new to surface mount soldering, this is the right project for you.

My Little Mixer (MLM) has a small number of surface mount parts including a single 8 pin SOIC package. So if you are new to surface mount, it is a great way to get started.

This video is a great introduction to SMD hand soldering.

You can select either a switched version of this mixer so that all inputs can be individually and instantly muted without affecting the level setting. You can also build a non-switched version which uses a simpler panel and less parts.

You can customize the mixer during the build to obtain either:

• DC coupling only (this is the most common configuration for use in patches);
• AC coupling only (enables the mixer to be used for mixing audio output);
• Jumpers to change AC/DC coupling when needed.
