What is it? It's a flag waving monster!

Banners folds symetrical waves, sine, triangle and so on. Unlike most wavefolders using transistors or a diode ladder, Banners uses multiple stages of an opamp. The folding is modulated by an lfo. The input can also simply be modulated by the lfo. And additional vactrol is on board to add more modulation

Why did you make it?

I developed banners for keep (and bastl's kastle) to modulate and add overtones. Banners does more than just folding. If you pass another signal into the vactrol that modulates the amount of folding, you can achieve sweeping chorus fx. There is also a 'fuzz' mode in which a 3rd fold which is asymetrical to 'broken' is added. This can be a further fold but usually gets distorted in more or less interesting ways.

I've had fun using it with keep, kastle, Wirehead's FreaqFM and the microtonic PO from teenage engineering. In the case of FreaqFM banners behaves more like a fuzz since the input is complex pulse wave modulation. But it will get you electric guitar madness :)

What makes it special?

Well, I've never seen a wavefolder designed like this. The ability to feed the input into the lfo stage to create something like chorus is also unique.
