The PWM Pump Controller is a temperature based pump controller for underfloor heating pumps like the Grundfos UPM3 and other pumps with PWM input connection. The PWM circuit has been approved by Grundfos. The PWM pump controller was made because a standard underfloor heating pump is always on wasting electricity, causing wear, noise and a slow temperature transfer.

Problems with other aftermarket pump controllers where the pump's power supply can be plugged into:

• They cut off the power supply of the pump, which is bad for its internal electronics.
• It cannot regulate the pump's speed.
• The other controllers do not rotate the pump at least once every 24 hours to prevent shaft deformation.

The PWM Pump Controller is capable of measuring the temperature of the pipeline to recognize heat demand and regulate the pump's speed without cutting off its power supply. The PWM Pump Controller has the following features:

• Allow the user to read and adjust parameters using the intuitive menu on its OLED screen (current temp(°C) and status(ON/OFF), threshold temp(°C), min power%, max power%, max power temp(°C), ontime after temp threshold, screen timeout, ontime)
• Measure the temperature of the incoming pipeline with one temperature sensor
• Accurately control the speed of the pump according to the measured temperature and user settings (higher temp = higher rpm)
• Deactivate the pump without cutting off it's power supply
• Spin the pump at least once every 24 hours to prevent deformation
• 5V Micro USB connection
• Wifi/ MQTT / IoT

Future plans and features: - Enable customer to control the pump based on his/her application (cooling instead of heating the house for instance) - Smaller PCB with SMT and integrated chip
