Read More…The ideal AIS receiver if you want to merge Seatalk* with AIS and GPS data.
A true WiFi AIS receiver – which means you can view data (wirelessly) anywhere on your boat on your smart phone, tablet or laptop.
And in addition (if required) you can connect it to all the popular NMEA chart plotters or other devices like the Garmin GpsMap 750s or Exomap, Standard Horizon CP180i, Samyung N700). As well as NMEA routers (like the vyacht) and RS-422 routers.
AIS for small-commercial, leisure, sailing, pleasure and fishing boats.
The QK-A027 is a compact dual channel, VHF AIS receiver which can merge Seatalk and receive information from both AIS frequencies simultaneously. Which means that you will get quicker & more up to date information.
In addition it also includes an integrated GPS Module GPS module that can track up to 22 satellites on 66 channels, so that you will know exactly where you are in relation to other boats in your area.
The QK-A027 can be used with all the popular APPs (Navionics, Open CPN, iNavX, Seanav, Boat Beacon, iRegatta, iSailor, COAA Shiplotter, etc.)
Which means you can view the AIS data effortlessly anywhere on your boat. (Especially when compared some other ‘receivers’ like dAISy, Marine Gadget, etc.)
The QK-A027 is ideal for all small-commercial, leisure, sailing, pleasure and fishing boats.
It has a number of electrical connections
The AIS receiver can be powered by the SeaTalk bus or 12V power.
QK-A027 has the following electrical connections/indicators:
This product uses the NMEA 0183-RS422 protocol (differential signal), however some chart plotters or devices may use the older NMEA-RS232 protocol (Single-ended signal).
Some customers have found that their Garmin/Raymarine products use the older RS232 connection. This is not a problem, our QK-AS03 Protocol Bridge connects NMEA-RS232 wiring to MNEA0183-RS422 and visa versa.
The QK-AS03 Protocol Bridge is easy to install using a simple ‘Plug ‘n’ Play’ connection with no setup or configuration needed. You will probably need one if you are connecting to a Garmin Device or some Raymarine Products.
The easiest way to check, is to look at the input/output connections on the device that you will connect the multiplexer to. If the input/output connections on your device (Chart plotter, depth reader, etc.) have a TX, RX or GND connection, use a protocol bridge.
