What is it?

This programmer interface offers a TQFP32 socket that securely holds the microcontroller during the programming process. The socket is designed to ensure proper alignment and contact, minimizing the risk of errors or damage to the IC. Additionally, it provides a locking mechanism to securely hold the microcontroller in place.

The breakout board comes equipped with a 3.3V voltage regulator, an external crystal header (with 8MHz and 16MHz crystals included), and the required passive components. By connecting an Arduino-As-ISP through the SPI connections, you gain the ability to program the Atmega168/328 microcontroller before soldering it onto your PCB. This convenient feature eliminates the need for in-circuit programming, freeing up valuable space on your PCB.
