It is a reliable and versatile counting device designed to accurately tally and display numeric values in various industrial and commercial applications. This compact and robust counter combines the precision of electronics with the durability of mechanical components to provide a dependable solution for tracking and monitoring purposes. Note: This counter can only count upwards, but not downwards.
Using this counter is straightforward as it features only three pins:
VIN: (5V) The custom circuit board offers a built-in voltage step-up converter, increasing the 5V input to 24V required to drive the counter.
CNT: Count - when this pin detects a falling edge, it increments the counter by one
To employ the counter, connect these three pins as described. To increase the counter by 1, transmit a single falling-edge pulse. If you wish to advance the counter by 8, send 8 falling-edge pulses, and so on. Allow 20+ milliseconds delay between pulses. Watch the demo video provided below. It showcases the electro-mechanical counter connected to an Arduino Micro Pro. A rotary encoder is utilized to select the desired increment, displayed on a separate OLED screen. By pressing the rotary encoder's button, you can increment the electro-mechanical counter by the chosen amount.
