What is CHUSBIE?

CHUSBIE is a range of development boards for the CH55x range for Microcontrollers from WCH, which keeps low cost and usability as its guiding principles.

What is the CHUSBIE552?

CHUSBIE552 is the development board specifically for CH552T or the CH552G MCUs. Both versions are available as the CHUSBIE552(T) and the CHUSBIE552(G). This listing is for the CHUSBIE552(T)

Why Am I making it?

I feel that adding USB interfaces to devices should not be hard or costly. USB has been around for many years now but there still seems to be a barrier to entry in terms of cost or complexity. The CHUSBIE552 is both compact and low cost which gives the ability to permanently embed it into a project. I have tried to include items that I feel help keep the (TTB) Time To Blink low.

What makes it special?

After experimenting with this MCU on protoboards I decided I wanted to see the CH552T shipped together in a feature set to help me with my own developments.

So I have loaded the board with the following feature set:

• Onboard reset button
• Onboard Bootloader button
• 2 x Indicator leds
• Power led
• Sensible IO ordering
• Breadboard compatible layout
• Landing for external HC49 XTAL crystal and load caps

• USB Device mode Transceiver with 4 Endpoints and DMA
• SPI
• 2 x UART
• 6 X Capacitive Touch Inputs (1 more than the CH552G)
• 4 x ADC Inputs 8 BIT
• 16 x GPIO (4 more than the CH552G)
